As i said,Nomore confusion about Oracle Fusion Middleware/Oracle Fusion applications..If you still have confusions that means you are not in touch with what is going on with oracle technologies.
Let me try to make it clear..
Oracle Fusion: is nothing but integration of Oracle applications such as EBusiness Suite, PeopleSoft, Siebel, Retek, JD Edwards, etc. into a set of next generation applications based on open industry standards. these nextgeneration applications will be based on the SOA (Service oriented architecture)
Oracle Fusion middleware : is the platform which can used to build/develop fusion applications.
oracle has selected some of the below technologies as foundation for fusion.
>J2EE
>Webservices
>SOA
>BPEL
Some of the oracle fusion components:
>Oracle Jdev
>J2EE
>Oracle application development framework (ADF)
>TopLink
>XML
>WebServices
>SOA
>BPEL
>Identity Management
>Single sign-on
>Grid control
Nice Article.
ReplyDeleteI am hardcore experienced java developer, recently I got an offer from good company as Sr. Middleware Engineer and they are using Oracle Fusion, I have never used fusion. I am really confused about taking or rejecting offer as I don't want to leave low level coding (Java, JAXM/JAX-RPC, JMS coding, Memory issues, Threading, designing system (class diagram etc).
Do you think I should be able to use all of low level java coding in Fusion project or It will be simple configuration (XML, XSD, XPath, etc).
I will really appreciate your response.
Hi Anonympous,
